True Beauty ~ Part II (Sarah)
The 2nd lovely woman to be featured in my True Beauty Series is Sarah “Cleo” Potts. She’s a 26 year old medical student at LECOM (Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine) in Erie, PA. She is finishing up her final year and will officially be a doctor on May 31st, 2020. She plans to go into family medicine residency, specializing in geriatrics and palliative care.
Sarah is also an incredibly gifted musician. She began training on the violin at age 11. She was also formally trained on the cello and self-taught on the piano, mandolin, and ukulele. She completed a year of undergrad study at Greatbatch School of Music in Houghton, NY. She later enrolled at Edinboro University, switching her major to biology, where started down her path towards becoming a doctor. With music still deeply rooted in her soul, Sarah served as Concert Mistress in the Edinboro String Ensemble.
This talented young lady not only skillfully plays several instruments, she also writes her own music and lyrics. Many of her songs are Christian based and her love of the Lord certainly shines through in her performances. Below is just a small sampling of her videos. I’ve also shared the link to her YouTube channel. Please have a listen, give her some thumbs up, and maybe even subscribe.
Earlier this year I had the pleasure of doing a little photo shoot with Sarah in the City of Erie, specifically for the purpose of this blog post. Regretfully, it has taken me several months to get it ready to publish. That’s what happens when my career must take precedence over my hobbies; however, because I’m blessed with a seasonal layoff, I can now devote the time to this post that Sarah rightfully deserves.
This young woman is a true beauty who will heal not only with her brilliant mind and able hands, but also with her heart and soul, expressed through her captivating music.
